Here at Off The Grid, we strive to create an atmosphere that facilitates growth through positivity, great company, and great instruction. OTG was founded in Upstate NY with the intention to spread competition level self defense into a family friendly environment.

Luckily we found a spot here in paradise just down the road from Cocoa Beach at 2370 S Atlantic Ave, just a stone's throw away from the beach! Come join our family whether you have never trained in your life, are a seasoned veteran, or you're just looking for a fun way to get in shape, our school is the place for you!

We offer monthly memberships for unlimited access. We also offer week-long passes so you can keep training on vacation and pay-by-the-class options!
Open Mat
We are happy to host open-mat hours on Saturdays from 11 am to 2 pm. Come in to box, work on your technique, or roll with a friend.

What is Jiu-Jitsu?
What separates jiu-jitsu from other martial arts?

Brazilian jiu-jitsu emphasizes getting an opponent to the ground in order to use ground fighting techniques and submission holds involving joint-locks and chokeholds. A more precise way of describing this would be to say that on the ground, physical strength can be offset or enhanced by an experienced grappler who knows how to maximize force using mechanical advantage instead of pure physical strength.
